Finding the Best Siding for Your Property

Along with roofing, siding is one of the biggest exterior aesthetic features people see when approaching your home. After your property's siding is damaged or needs replacement, find out what type of siding is best for your home.

Plywood
Plywood siding is aesthetically appeasing, cheap, and easy to install. Because it is made of wood, it is resistant to expansion, warping, and other vulnerabilities that other sidings might not be.

Fiber-Cement
While this type can be pricy, this is definitely a top choice for many homeowners. 85% of the fire-resistant material is cement-like materials including sand, cement, and fly ash. Difficult installation and manufacturing costs of materials makes it costlier than other types of siding, but for some, the wood-like aesthetic combined with its fire-resistant properties justifies the cost.

Aluminum
Aluminum is one of the oldest types of siding. Today, it's used less frequently as the siding dents easily and is not very efficient.

Vinyl
Vinyl siding is one of the most popular types of siding not only because it is some of the cheapest material you can get, but because its lifespan. Vinyl tends to last for a long time and can quickly be fixed if needed. It also is an aesthetically-pleasing material and evolving every year.

Permastone
This concrete-type veneer mimics the look of cut stone. The repair and installation of this material is slow and laborious, and not ideal for quick needed repairs.
